Max van der Schoor
Vocals
At the center of the stage is Max, an unstoppable force of jumping and headbanging. With a huge vocal range that allows him to scream, whisper, and everything in between, he always conveys the emotion of the lyrics directly to you. In addition to being a powerhouse vocalist, Max is also a prolific songwriter, with most Angry Chair songs either written or co-written by him.
David Veen
Rhythm guitars & backing vocals
Fueled by anger and an ungodly amount of beer, David writes, entertains, and rocks both on and off the stage. As Max’s writing partner, David pens lyrics about anything he finds dumb, stupid, annoying, or wack. Combine that with his love for heavy riffs, and you get the recipe for songs that feel like being run over by a freight train.
Martijn Schuur
Lead guitars & backing vocals
As the guitar virtuoso, Martijn is our master of solos. Drawing influences from a wide scala of major guitar heroes like Jerry Cantrell, Slash, Synyster Gates And Angus Young, Marty has crafted a unique and recognizable playing style that elevates every song. His solos have the power to melt your face off.
Rick Kluin
Bass guitar
Angry Chair wouldn’t be Angry Chair without the thick and filthy basslines created by Rick. Not even a broken collarbone could stop him from smiling and playing during one of our gigs. You may hear the music, but Rick makes you feel it in your guts.
Irina van Dijk
Drums, percussion & cowbell
Irina, our unstoppable human metronome, is the driving force behind Angry Chair. Armed with two drumsticks, this powerhouse drummer creates more noise than all the men in Angry Chair combined. She’s the reason you can’t help but bang your head and stomp your feet.
